Removal


1. Disconnect the brake system vacuum hose from the brake booster check valve.

2. Carefully pry up and remove the valve with a screwdriver, inserting the blade of the screwdriver between the valve and the sealing sleeve. Do not apply too much pressure to the vacuum chamber.

3. Remove the rubber sealing sleeve. Be careful not to let it fall into the vacuum chamber.

4. Check the correct operation of the valve; it should not allow air to pass into the vacuum booster in the direction indicated by the arrow. Do not use compressed air.

Installation


1. Install the rubber sealing sleeve.

2. Lubricate the valve fins with Lucas Girling grease to aid assembly and insert the valve into place.

4. Road test the vehicle.
