Removal

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

3. Remove the front subframe assembly. Refer to procedure: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni-Body, Subframe and Mounting System, Removal and Installation).

4. Remove the bushing. Special tool: 204-598, 204-598-01

Special tool 204-598-01/8 is used to begin the bushing removal process and should be removed once the bushing is free as it will not fit through the subframe bushing bore.

CAUTION: Mark the positions of the components to facilitate subsequent installation.

Installation

1. Install the bushing. Special tool: 204-598, 204-598-01



2. Install the front subframe. Refer to procedure: Front Subframe (502-00 Uni-Body, Subframe and Fastening System, Removal and Installation).

3. Connect the ground cable to the battery and install the cover. Refer to the procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).
