Warnings, Cautions and Notes (Freelander 2)

The use of proper maintenance techniques and the correct execution of repair procedures are important both for the safe, reliable operation of the vehicle itself and for the personal safety of the mechanic performing the job.

Anyone who intends to deviate from the instructions prescribed in this manual must first decide for themselves what they are willing to sacrifice: personal safety or the vehicle itself. And based on this, they must select the necessary methods, tools and spare parts.

WARNING: Warnings indicate that injury may result if a procedure is not performed correctly.

CAUTION: Cautions indicate that damage to the vehicle or equipment being used may occur if a procedure is not performed correctly.

NOTE: The purpose of the note is to provide important additional information required to complete the repair completely and satisfactorily.

General warnings or cautions are found in the appropriate design and operation description in Section 100-00. If a procedure requires general warnings or cautions, a reference will be made to the appropriate design and operation description.

If it refers to only one point, it precedes that point.
