Lower control panel cover (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling


1. Remove the steering column current collector assembly.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS FOR DRIVER AND PASSENGERS, REPAIR WORK, Rotary current collector.


2. Remove the glove box.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Glove box.


3. Remove the center ventilation grille.

HEATING AND VENTILATION, REPAIR WORKS, Fan(s) - the center of the control panel.


4. Remove the upper instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Upper control panel trim - driver's side.


5. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower control panel trim - driver's side.


6. Remove the 6 Torx screws securing the lower control panel cover.


6. Remove the 6 Torx screws securing the lower control panel cover.

7. Carefully release the 7 fasteners securing the casing to the casing supports. Remove the lower casing.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.




8. Remove the 7 fasteners from the casing.

9. Remove the 4 spring clips from the casing.

Assembly


1. Install the spring clips onto the lower casing.

2. Install the clips on the lower casing.

3. Place the lower casing on the supports and secure it with clamps and screws.

4. Install the driver's side lower instrument panel trim.

5. Install the driver's side instrument panel upper trim.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Upper control panel trim - driver's side.


6. Install the central ventilation grille.

HEATING AND VENTILATION, REPAIR WORKS, Fan(s) - the center of the control panel.


7. Install the glove box.

CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Glove box.


8. Install the current collector assembly.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS FOR DRIVER AND PASSENGERS, REPAIR WORK, Rotary current collector.
