Dismantling


1. Remove the seat assembly.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.


2. Remove the Allen screw securing the armrest.


2. Remove the Allen screw securing the armrest.

3. Remove the armrest from the hinge protrusion.

4. Remove the headrest.


4. Remove the headrest.

5. Release the 3 seat back panel tensioner straps under the seat.

6. Release the brackets securing the backrest upholstery to the bottom of the backrest panel.


6. Release the brackets securing the backrest upholstery to the bottom of the backrest panel.



7. Release the edges of the upholstery on both sides of the seat back panel.


7. Release the edges of the upholstery on both sides of the seat back panel.

8. Remove the 2 pins securing the bottom of the backrest panel.

9. Separate the back panel from the seat.

10. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and valve.


10. Disconnect the lumbar support cable connector from the pump and valve.

11. Disconnect the connector block from the seat heater cable.

12. Release the cables from the retainer and pass them through the backrest upholstery.


12. Release the cables from the retainer and pass them through the backrest upholstery.



13. Remove the 2 Torx screws and remove the back frame from the seat frame.

14. Lift the front edge of the backrest upholstery to access the headrest guides.


14. Lift the front edge of the backrest upholstery to access the headrest guides.

15. Release the headrest latches and remove the headrest guides.

16. Remove the backrest upholstery and cushion from the seat back frame.


16. Remove the backrest upholstery and cushion from the seat back frame.

17. Remove and discard the 12 upholstery retaining rings and remove the upholstery from the cushion.

Assembly


1. Place the upholstery on the cushion and secure it with rings.

2. Pull the back upholstery over the frame and secure.

3. Install and secure the headrest guides into the backrest frame.

4. Align the backrest frame with the seat frame, install the Torx screws and tighten them to 25 Nm.

5. Route the lumbar support cable through the upholstery and secure it to the seat frame.



6. Connect the connector to the seat heater connector.

7. Connect the lumbar support cable connectors to the pump and valve.

8. Place the backrest panel onto the assembled seat and install the bottom of the backrest panel retaining pins.

9. Secure both edges of the seat cushion upholstery to the back panel.

10. Staple the bottom of the upholstery to the back panel.

11. Attach the backrest panel tension straps to the fasteners at the bottom of the seat.

12. Install the armrest onto the hinge and tighten the Allen screw to 25 Nm.

13. Install the seat in the vehicle.
