Do not bleed the air suspension system until the vehicle has been raised.
It is not necessary to bleed air from the entire air suspension system; it is enough to bleed it only from the circuit located on the side of the shock absorber being replaced.
Dismantling
1. Remove the cover covering the spare wheel.
2. Release the rear seat backrest and tilt the seat forward.
3. Lift the floor carpet to provide access to the upper shock absorber mount retaining nuts.
4. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it with stands.
CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported solely by a jack or lift. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.
5. Remove the wheel.
6. Place a jack as a support under the lower suspension arm.
CAUTION: Do not leave the lower control arm suspended by the air spring.
7. Release air from the air spring located on the side of the shock absorber being replaced.

8. Unscrew the 3 nuts securing the shock absorber to the body.
9. Unscrew the bolt securing the shock absorber to the lower arm.
10. Remove the shock absorber.
11. Remove and discard the bushing.
12. Fix the shock absorber rod and unscrew the upper support mounting nut.
13. Remove the washer, upper support, protective cover, support disc and compression stroke limiter.
Assembly
1. Install the compression stroke limiter, support disc, protective cover, upper support and washer onto the shock absorber.
CAUTION: The hardened support disc must be installed in the same position it occupied before removal.
2. Screw on the nut. Secure the shock absorber rod and tighten the nut to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
3. Clean the mating surfaces of the shock absorber and the body from dirt.
4. Install the new bushing.
5. Install the shock absorber. Lightly tighten the nuts and secure the upper support of the shock absorber.
6. Align the shock absorber with the lower arm, install the mounting bolt and tighten it to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
7. Tighten the upper shock absorber mount nuts to 56 N·m (40 lb ft)
8. Bring the pressure in the air suspension system to the nominal value.

9. Reinstall the wheel and tighten the nuts to 140 N·m (103 lb ft).
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Replace the carpet flooring.
12. Return the rear seat to the upright position.
13. Replace the spare wheel cover.
