Dismantling
1. Raise the front of the vehicle.
CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported solely by a jack or lift. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.
2. Remove the front wheel.

3. Loosen the lock nut securing the tip to the end of the steering rod.
4. Remove the ball joint nut and discard it.
5. Screw the M14 nut onto the end of the ball joint flush with the end of the threaded part of the joint.
6. Using the LRT-57-036 tool, separate the ball pin from the steering knuckle. Remove the M14 nut and pull the ball pin out of the steering knuckle.

7. Remove the steering rod end, remembering the number of thread turns to avoid mistakes during assembly.
8. Remove and discard the retaining ring.
Assembly

1. Place the snap ring so that its inner conical surface faces the end of the steering rod.
2. Screw the tie rod end onto the rod, turning it by the number of turns recorded during removal.
3. Clean any dirt from the conical surfaces of the ball pin and the steering knuckle socket.
4. Connect the ball joint pins to the steering knuckles, install new nuts and tighten them to a torque of 80 N·m.
5. Replace the wheel and tighten the nuts to a torque of 140 Nm.
6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
7. Check and, if necessary, adjust the front wheel alignment angles.
