Dismantling
1. Release the retainer and disconnect the ABS pressure regulator connector block.
2. Disconnect the block from the sensor.
3. Place a cloth under the pressure regulator to avoid splashing brake fluid.
CAUTION: Brake fluid can damage paintwork. If brake fluid comes into contact with painted surfaces, remove any traces of fluid immediately and wash the area with water. Do not allow water to enter the openings of the pressure regulator.
4. Noting the position of the 6 brake lines on the pressure regulator housing, disconnect them from the pressure regulator.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components of the brake system, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in fittings and piping to keep dirt out of the system.
5. Remove the screw securing the ABS pressure regulator to the bracket.
6. Release and remove the ABS pressure regulator from the bracket.
NOTE: Do not further disassemble if the assembly is being removed for ease of access only.
7. Remove the 2 screws securing the bracket to the pressure regulator and remove the bracket.
Assembly
1. Install the bracket on the ABS pressure regulator, tighten the screws and tighten them with a torque of 8 Nm.
2. Install the ABS pressure regulator on the mounting bracket, tighten the screw and tighten it with a torque of 8 Nm.
3. Clear places of accession of brake pipelines and tips of pipelines.
4. Connect the brake lines to the ABS pressure regulator, making sure the lines are connected to the corresponding holes in the regulator.
5. Tighten the nuts securing the pipelines to the ABS pressure regulator with a torque of 18 Nm.
6. Attach the block to the pressure sensor.
7. Connect the connector to the ABS pressure regulator connector and fasten the connector retainer.
8. Remove air from the brake system.
9. To ensure that the ABS is working properly, diagnose using the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool.
