Examination
1. The procedure under consideration refers to the removal of air from the entire system, but if the tightness is broken in only one of the circuits of the brake system, then only this circuit should be pumped. This partial bleeding of the brake system is only permitted if a slight leakage of brake fluid occurred when removing the brake pipe or hose.
CAUTION: If the brake pressure regulator or any component upstream of the pressure regulator is being replaced, the brake system must be bled according to the procedure using the Testbook/r4 to ensure that the newly installed devices are bled of air.
Adjustment
1. Raise the front and rear of the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work under a vehicle raised only on a jack or lift. Always install safety props.
2. Check the tightness of the system piping and hose connections and make sure there are no signs of fluid leakage.
3. Add brake fluid to the reservoir up to the mark "MAX".
MAINTENANCE, SERVICE OPERATIONS, Fluid tanks.
CAUTION: Do not allow dirt or foreign fluids to enter the brake reservoir. Add only DOT4 brake fluid stored in tightly closed containers. Do not mix brake fluids from different manufacturers, they may not be compatible.
4. Attach the bleed hose to the bleeder port on the front caliper on the passenger side and dip the end of the hose into a clean container of brake fluid.
5. Depress the brake pedal several times, then keep the pedal depressed.
6. Loosen the bleeder screw to release the brake fluid and air from the system. Release the brake pedal, allowing it to return to its original position.
7. Gently press the brake pedal to its full stroke and let it return to its original position. Repeat the operation until a jet of clean brake fluid free of air bubbles enters the container. While holding the brake pedal in the lowest position, tighten the bleeder screw to 14 Nm.
CAUTION: During the bleeding procedure, maintain the brake fluid level in the brake reservoir between the minimum and maximum level marks by adding fresh brake fluid.
8. Add brake fluid to the reservoir up to the top level.
9. Repeat the procedure for each wheel in the order shown.
CAUTION: Failure to follow this sequence may significantly reduce braking performance.
10. Remove the bleed hose from the fitting and put the protective cap on the fitting.
11. Depress the brake pedal and check for fluid leaks from the system.
12. Remove props and lower the car.
13. Check the brake system on the road. When you press the brake pedal, it should be firm and have a short stroke.
