Bleeding the brake system (Discovery 1)

The bleeding procedure is the same for both systems (with and without ABS).

Note:

• when bleeding the system, the brake fluid level in the reservoir should not fall below the MIN mark.
• refilling of brake fluid is not permitted.
• bleed screws are installed on each brake caliper to remove air.
• bleeding can be done in two ways: under pressure and manually. When bleeding under pressure, follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the special equipment; the bleeding pressure should not exceed 4.5 bar.
