Brake system reservoir (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Place a container to collect the leaking brake fluid.

CAUTION: Brake fluid can damage paintwork. If brake fluid comes into contact with painted surfaces, remove any traces of the fluid immediately and rinse the area with water.

2. Disconnect the connector from the brake fluid level sensor.

3. Release the cable from the retainer.

4. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the pre-pressure pump feed hose.

CAUTION: Immediately install a plug at the end of the hose to prevent brake fluid from leaking out of the pre-pressure pump.

5. Release the two fasteners and remove the tank.

6. Remove and discard the two reservoir sealing rings.

CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.

Assembly

1. Clean the mating surfaces of the reservoir and master cylinder.

2. Install new O-rings.

3. Install the brake master cylinder.

4. Connect the pre-pressure pump supply hose and secure it.

5. Secure the wires with a clamp.

6. Connect the connector to the low brake fluid level sensor.

7. Remove air from the system using the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool procedure.
