Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Loosen the 2 belt tensioner bolts.

3. Using a 17 mm wrench, turn the tensioner completely to relieve tension in the belt. Turn the tensioner clockwise.

4. While holding the tensioner in the pulled position, tighten the tensioner mounting bolt.

5. Remove the belt from the tensioner pulley.
6. Loosen and remove the accessory drive belt from the remaining rollers.

7. Rotate the cooling fan slowly by hand until the drive belt is positioned between the fan blades and the fan guard. Remove the belt.
Installation
1. Check the drive belt pulleys and rollers for damage.
2. Install the drive belt over the engine cooling fan.
3. Place the accessory drive belt on all pulleys except the tensioner pulley.

4. Place the accessory drive belt on the tensioner pulley. Make sure the accessory drive belt is in contact with all rollers.

5. Loosen the locking bolt to release the tensioner.

6. Using a 17mm wrench, turn the tensioner counterclockwise a full turn to tighten the belt.

7. While holding the tensioner in the position corresponding to the tensioned belt, tighten the tensioner bolt to a torque of 30 N·m.
8. Connect the ground cable of the battery.
