Bottom of the tray gasket (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Place a container under the drain plug of the pan, unscrew the drain plug and discard the sealing washer. Allow the oil to drain.



2. Remove the 21 bolts securing the lower part of the oil pan to the upper part. Remove the lower part of the oil pan and discard the gasket.

Assembly

1. Wipe the mating surfaces on the oil pan.

2. Place a new gasket on the mating surface of the lower pan.

3. Install the lower part of the oil pan.

4. Install the 21 lower pan mounting bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm.

5. Wipe the drain plug, install a new sealing ring on it and tighten the plug to a torque of 25 N·m.

6. Fill the engine with oil.
