Throttle body gasket (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

3. Remove the air intake resonator. For more information, refer to Air Intake Resonator (19.70.03)

4. Remove the throttle body.

• Remove 4 bolts.
• Remove the throttle body gasket and discard it as no longer needed.

Installation

1. Install the throttle body.

• Clean the parts.
• Install a new gasket.
• Tighten the 4 bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).

2. Install the air intake resonator. For more information, refer to Air Intake Resonator (19.70.03)

3. Install the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

4. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
