Removal


1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 2.7L Diesel (12.30.50)

3. Disconnect the three electrical connectors. Release the fuel line check valve.

3. Disconnect the three electrical connectors. Release the fuel line check valve.


4. Unscrew the bolt securing the air intake channel air damper elbow.

4. Unscrew the bolt securing the air intake channel air damper elbow.


5. Release the elbow pipe of the air intake channel air damper. Unscrew the stud securing the elbow pipe of the air intake channel air damper.

5. Release the elbow pipe of the air intake channel air damper. Unscrew the stud securing the elbow…


6. Release the left EGR valve outlet pipe clamp.



7. Release the right EGR valve outlet pipe clamp.

8. Move the air intake duct air damper.

8. Move the air intake duct air damper.


9. Remove the air intake duct air damper.

9. Remove the air intake duct air damper.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if this component is removed only for access.


Remove and discard the O-rings.

Remove and discard the O-rings.


Installation


1
CAUTION: O-rings can be reused if they are not damaged.




Install the air intake duct air damper.

2. Align the air intake duct air damper.

3. Secure the right EGR valve outlet pipe.

4. Secure the left EGR valve outlet pipe.

5. Secure the air intake duct air flap elbow. Tighten the air intake duct air flap elbow mounting stud. (tightening torque 10 Nm).

6. Tighten the air intake duct air damper elbow mounting bolt. (tightening torque 10 Nm).

7. Connect the 3 electrical connectors. Secure the fuel line check valve.

8. Install the engine cover. For more information, refer to Engine Cover - 2.7L Diesel (12.30.50)

9. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
