CAUTION: Before disconnecting or disassembling parts, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. To avoid contamination of the system, close all open connections with plugs.
1. Open the fuel filler flap and remove the cap.
2. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
3. Connect the ground cable of the fuel drain equipment to the vehicle.
4. Drain the fuel from the tank through the fuel filler neck using fuel tank draining equipment. Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.
5. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
