Checking the fuel system pressure 4.4L (Discovery 3)

Fuel pressure gauge 310-116-01	Fuel Pressure Test Adapter 310-116 (LRT-19-006A)	Schrader Valve and Fuel Adapter Hose 310-149
Fuel System Spring Lock Release Tool 310-D005

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Relieve the pressure in the fuel rail. Relieving the pressure in the fuel supply system - 4.4L (19.50.02)

3. Connect the special tool.

• Connect to the fuel rail.
• Connect to the fuel line.
• Remove the Schrader valve dust cap.

4. Connect the special tool. Connect the Schrader valve and pressure gauge.

CAUTION: Some fuel will inevitably spill during this operation. Make sure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent fire and explosion.

Start the engine and let it run.

• Open the valve on the special tool.
• Record the fuel pressure readings.

6. Nominal fuel pressure values are given in the technical specifications.

7. Close the valve on the special tool.

Remove the special tool.

• Place an absorbent cloth to collect any spilled liquid.
• Remove the special tool from the Schrader valve.

9. Remove the special tool.

• Place an absorbent cloth to collect any spilled liquid.
• Disconnect the special tool from the fuel rail.
• Use a special tool.
• Disconnect the special tool from the fuel line.
• Use a special tool.

10. Install the Schrader valve dust cap onto the special tool.



11. Connect the fuel line. Relieving the pressure in the fuel supply system - 4.4L (19.50.02)

12. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
