Turbocharger inlet manifold (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the power steering pump. For more information, refer to Power Steering Pump - 2.7L Diesel, VIN Range: SALLA000304->END OF 06MY (57.20.14)

3. Remove the support bracket. Unscrew the 2 mounting bolts.

CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.

Raise the car.

5. Disconnect the breather hose. Release the clamp.

6. Disconnect the turbocharger inlet pipe. Release the clamp.



7. Remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe. With assistance, reposition the turbocharger inlet pipe.



8. Using assistance, remove the turbocharger inlet pipe.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order. Tighten the 2 mounting bolts. (tightening torque 10 Nm).
