Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2.
WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise the vehicle and place supports underneath it.

3. Drain the cooling system.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Draining/filling coolant and bleeding air from the cooling system (303-03 Engine Cooling - ID4 2.4L Diesel Engine, General Procedures).

4. Disconnect the electrical connector of the engine oil pressure (EOP) sensor.

5. Disconnect the coolant hose from the engine oil cooler. Release the clamp.

6. Disconnect the coolant hose. Release the clamp.

7.
CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.


Remove the oil filter housing assembly.
  • Remove 6 bolts.
  • Remove the gasket and dispose of it.

Remove the gasket and dispose of it.


Installation


1.
NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.


NOTE: Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.


NOTE: Install a new gasket.


Install the elements in place in the reverse order. Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 23 Nm).

2. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
