Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Remove the cylinder head cover.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Cylinder Head Cover (303-01 Engine - Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, On-car repair).

3. Remove the rocker arm support. Remove 10 bolts.

NOTE: One rocker arm shown, others are similar.


Remove the rocker arm.

Installation


1.
NOTE: Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.


Install the rocker arm.

2.
NOTE: Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.


Install the rocker arm support device.


  • Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm.
  • Stage 2: Tighten another 30 degrees.

Stage 2: Tighten another 30 degrees.


3. Install the cylinder head cover.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Cylinder Head Cover (303-01 Engine - Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, On-car repair).

4. Connect the ground wire to the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Connecting the Battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
