Rear window wiper motor (Discovery 1)

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Remove the rear door trim panel.

3. Remove the spare tire.

4. Remove the brush arm and spacer.

5. Unscrew the drive shaft mounting nut, remove the washer and seal.

6. From inside the door, disconnect the electric motor connector.

7. Unscrew the bolts securing the electric motor and grounding cable.



8. Remove the motor from the door, being careful not to lose the drive shaft spacer.

9. Unscrew the two nuts securing the engine to the bracket and remove the bracket.



10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
