Heater Control Panel — for vehicles up to 2004 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the front console.

INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Center console - for vehicles up to model year 2004.

2. Disconnect the mixing flap control cable from the control handle and the mixing flap control lever.

3. Disconnect the throttle valve control cable from the control handle and the throttle valve control lever.

4. Disconnect electrical connectors from all switches.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the backlight.

6. Remove the heater control panel.



7. Remove the temperature regulator shaft.



8. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the fan speed controller and remove the controller.





9. Remove 5 switches from the heater control panel.

Installation

1. Install the switches on the heater control panel.

2. Install the fan speed controller and secure it with screws.

3. Install the fan speed controller shaft.

4. Install the heater control panel assembly.

5. Connect the electrical connectors of the switches and lighting.

6. Connect the mixing flap control cable to the control handle and the mixing flap control lever.

7. Connect the throttle valve control cable to the control handle and the throttle valve control lever.

8. Reinstall the front console.
