Exhaust manifold heat shield: without air conditioning (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Unscrew the nut and 2 bolts securing the heat shield.

3. Remove the heat shield.

4. Remove the spacer from the stud.

Installation

1. Install the spacer onto the stud.

2. Install the heat shield.

3. Screw in the heat shield mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.

4. Fit the heat shield mounting nut and tighten it to 25 Nm.

5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
