Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right.

3. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the right mudguard panel and remove the panel.

4. Using a 13 mm spanner, turn the drive belt tensioner for attachments by the hexagon, clockwise until it stops, to loosen the belt tension.
5. While holding the tensioner in this position, insert a pin, up to 3 mm in diameter, through the center of the hexagon into the rear plate of the tensioner.
6. Remove the belt from the generator pulley.

7. Remove the upper generator mounting bolt and loosen the lower bolt.
8. Move the generator forward to provide access to the heat shield.

9. Unscrew the nut and 2 bolts securing the heat shield.
10. Remove the heat shield.
Installation
1. Install the heat shield.
2. Install the heat shield on the generator mounting stud, tighten the nut and screw in the bolts. Tighten the nut to 25 Nm and the bolts to 10 Nm.

3. Install the generator on the bracket and screw in the bolt.
4. Tighten both generator mounting bolts to 45 Nm.
5. Place the accessory drive belt on the pulleys, remove the pin and release the belt tensioner.
6. Check that the belt is in the correct position on all pulleys.
7. Install the mudguard panel and secure it with bolts.
8. Place the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position.
9. Connect the negative battery terminal.
