Removal and installation the front door (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

CAUTION: After turning off the ignition, wait two minutes before disconnecting the battery. Failure to wait two minutes may damage the navigation computer.

2. Tightening torque: 24 Nm



3. Tightening torque: 30 Nm

CAUTION: To avoid damage, protect surrounding finish.

NOTE: This step requires the assistance of a second mechanic.

NOTE: With the help of another mechanic, prop the door up.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
