Electric tailgate switch (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to procedure: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).

2. Remove the license plate light housing.



3. Remove and discard the 6 license plate housing gaskets.



4. Remove the license plate lights.



5. Remove the power tailgate switch.

Installation

1. Install the power tailgate switch.

2. Install the license plate lights.

3. Install the license plate housing and tighten the nuts. Tightening torque: 5 Nm

4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to procedure: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).
