The vehicle's horns are controlled by pressing one of the vertical pads mounted on the steering wheel. The horn switch status is controlled by the CJB via the steering wheel module. When one of the pads is pressed, the CJB energizes the horn relay (relay R10) located in the BJB. The energized horn relay supplies battery power to the vehicle's two horns. Both horns are mounted on brackets and located in the center of the front crossmember, in front of the radiator.
The vehicle's horns also sound when the anti-theft alarm system is triggered. In this case, the vehicle's horns are automatically controlled by the CJB. For more information, refer to the chapter: Anti-theft alarm system - active (419-01A Anti-theft alarm system - active, Description and operation).
