Fire (Freelander 2)

Many of the materials involved in auto repair are flammable. Some materials will release toxic or harmful gases when burned; others, such as technical rubbers, form very active hydrofluoric acid when exposed to fire or intense heat. See section "Technical rubbers".

If any material is burning or very hot, handle it with extreme caution. Wear protective clothing. Dispose of such materials in accordance with local regulations.

Decontaminate protective clothing or dispose of it immediately after use.

When storing or handling flammable materials or solvents, fire safety requirements must be observed, especially near electrical equipment and welding areas.

Before using electrical or welding equipment, create conditions that minimize the risk of fire.

When using welding or heating equipment, it is necessary to have a fire extinguisher in the work area.
