Removal

Right hand drive vehicles

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Remove the brake light switch. Refer to the procedure: Brake Light Switch (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).

CAUTION: The switch has a locking feature that allows the switch to be removed or installed by pressing the switch stem.

NOTE: Right hand drive version shown, left hand drive version similar.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
