Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2. Remove the front radiator grille.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Radiator grille.
3. Remove the fan viscous coupling.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.

4. Remove the 2 screws securing the fuel cooler air duct to the hood lock panel.
5. Remove the 2 screws securing the air duct to the fuel cooler.
6. Remove the air duct assembly from the vehicle.

7. Remove the 2 screws securing the radiator to the hood lock panel.
8. Tilt the radiator assembly back, release and remove the fasteners securing the radiator.

9. Release the condenser fan shroud to radiator assembly fasteners and lift the shroud off the fasteners.
10. Install a container to collect the leaking working fluid.

11. Loosen the fastening and disconnect the power steering line from the working fluid cooler.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing steering components, make sure that the adjacent surfaces are free of dirt. Install plugs in the openings of fittings and pipes to protect the system from dirt ingress.

12. Tilt the radiator assembly back, release the fasteners securing the cooler and remove it.
Assembly
1. Wipe the places where the power steering pipe connects to the cooler.
2. Install and secure the power steering fluid cooler.
3. Install and secure the condenser fan shroud assembly.
4. Move the radiator into the mounting position, install and secure the clamps.
5. Secure the radiator assembly by connecting it to the hood lock panel.
6. Connect the power steering hoses to the power steering fluid cooler and secure them.
7. Install the air duct assembly and the screws securing the duct to the fuel cooler.
8. Attach the end of the air duct to the bonnet lock panel and tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 3 Nm.
9. Install the fan viscous coupling.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
10. Reinstall the front radiator grille.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Radiator grille.
11. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
12. Add working fluid to the power steering reservoir and remove air from the system.
