Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative plug from the storage battery.
2. Remove a forward facing of a radiator.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator grille.
3. Remove the heatsink assembly.
COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator.
4. Install a container to collect the escaping fluid.
5. Loosen the fastening and disconnect the hydraulic booster hoses from the working fluid cooler.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing steering components, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in fittings and piping to keep dirt out of the system.
6. Remove the cooler assembly from the left bracket.
7. Release the 2 fasteners securing the fan shroud to the cooler assembly and set the fan shroud aside.
8. Carefully release and remove the power steering fluid cooler from the cooler block.
Assembly
1. Wipe places of accession of pipelines of the hydraulic booster to a cooler.
2. Install and secure the power steering fluid cooler.
3. Install and secure the fan shroud to the cooler unit.
4. Attach the cooler unit to the mounting bracket.
5. Connect the power steering hoses to the power steering fluid cooler and secure.
6. Replace the heatsink assembly.
COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator.
7. Reinstall the front grille.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Radiator grille.
8. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
9. Add working fluid to the hydraulic booster reservoir and bleed air from the system.
STEERING, ADJUSTMENTS, Power Steering (PAS) - removal of air.
