Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Place the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
3. Remove the protective shield.

4. Loosen the 2 belt tensioner screws.
5. Loosen the belt tension by turning the tensioner fully counterclockwise.

6. Remove the belt from the tensioner pulley.
7. Remove the belt from the power steering pump drive pulley.

8. Place a container under the power steering pump, disconnect the pipeline and drain the working fluid. Close the connection holes with plugs.
9. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the feed hose from the power steering pump. Close the connection holes with plugs.

10. Remove 2 Allen screws and 1 nut. Remove the power steering pump.
NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the component is removed only for ease of access.
11. Holding the pump shaft with an Allen key, loosen the screws securing the pump drive pulley.
12. Remove the screws and remove the power steering pump drive pulley.
13. Remove 5 screws and brackets from the power steering pump.
Assembly
1. Install the brackets onto the power steering pump and tighten the 5 screws to 25 Nm.

2. Install the drive pulley onto the pump shaft and tighten the screws by hand.
3. While holding the pump shaft with an Allen key, tighten the 3 pump drive pulley mounting screws to 25 Nm.
4. Install the power steering pump in place and tighten the mounting screws and mounting nut. Tighten the pump mounting screws to 10 N·m and the mounting nut to 25 N·m.
5. Remove the connector blocks, put on the supply hose and tighten the hose clamp.
6. Clean the power steering pump and the pipe fitting.
7. Install a new sealing ring onto the end of the pipe, connect the pipe to the pump and tighten the high pressure nipple nut to a torque of 25 Nm.
8. Place the accessory drive belt on all pulleys except the tensioner pulley.

9. Place the belt on the tensioner pulley. Make sure the drive belt goes around all pulleys.
10. Set the tension of the accessory drive belt.
11. Tighten the tensioner screws to a torque of 30 Nm.
12. Replace the protective shield.

13. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
14. Add working fluid to the required level and remove air from the system.
