Windshield washer reservoir (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Remove the front bumper cover. For more information, refer to Front Bumper Cover (76.22.72)

2. Remove the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.

• Disconnect the windshield washer reservoir neck from the coolant expansion tank.
• Remove and discard the seal if necessary.

NOTE: Some liquid will inevitably spill during this operation.

Disconnect the 2 hoses from the windshield washer reservoir pumps.

• Drain the fluid from the washer reservoir.
• Disconnect 3 electrical connectors.

4. Remove the windshield washer reservoir. Remove the 4 bolts.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the part is removed only for access.

Remove the windshield washer pump. Remove and discard the seal if necessary.

6. Disconnect the headlight washer pump. Remove and discard the seal if necessary.

Installation

1. Install the windshield washer pump. Install a new seal if necessary.

2. Install the headlight washer pump. Install a new seal if necessary.

3. Install the windshield washer reservoir.

• Tighten the M6 bolts to a torque of 6 Nm.
• Tighten the M8 bolt to a tightening torque of 25 Nm.

4. Connect the 2 hoses to the windshield washer reservoir pumps. Connect the electrical connectors.

5. Install the windshield washer reservoir filler neck.

• Install a new seal if necessary.
• Lubricate the seal.
• Engage the clamp.

6. Install the front bumper cover. For more information, refer to Front Bumper Cover (76.22.72)
