Wiring Harness — Front Door — 5 Door Models (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the protective film from the front door.

DOORS, Removing the front door assembly to provide access to other elements, installing the front door, Plastic trim for the front door of a 5-door car.

2. Disconnect the pads from the door lock, mirror and window lift motor.

3. Remove the 8 clamps securing the harness to the door.

4. Release the 2 pads at the base of the "A" pillar and disconnect the pads.

5. Remove the harness housing from the front of the door, pull the wiring out of the door.

6. Separate the harness sheath from the A-pillar and pull the harness out of the A-pillar.

7. Remove the door wiring harness.

Installation

1. Partially position the harness in the "A" pillar.

2. Place the sheath on the tourniquet and position the sheath in the "A" post.

3. Pass the harness through the hole in the front of the door and secure the sheath to the door.

4. Attach and secure the connector blocks to the base of the "A" pillar.

5. Place the harness in the door and secure with clamps.

6. Attach the pads to the mirror, door lock and window lift motor.



7. Install the front door protective film.
