Master Cylinder: Right Hand Drive Vehicles — Td4 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the air cleaner filter element.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Air cleaner filter element.

3. Using the LRT-37-051 tool, disconnect and remove the clutch drive pipe.



4. Mark the route of the tube and release it from the mount on the wing splash guard.



5. Mark the route of the pipe and release it from the fastening on the front shield.





6. Remove the clutch master cylinder rod from the clutch pedal.

7. Turn the clutch master cylinder clockwise and remove it from the front shield and from the vehicle.

Installation

1. Install the master cylinder onto the front shield and turn it counterclockwise to secure it.

2. Install the master cylinder rod onto the clutch pedal.

3. Wipe the hydraulic connector of the clutch pipe.

4. Connect the clutch hydraulic line.

5. Install the hydraulic tube into the brackets.

6. Install the air cleaner filter element.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
