Cooling Fan Controller: Since May 2002 (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Release the electrical connectors from the fasteners and disconnect the 2 connectors from the on-board wiring harness.

3. Disconnect the connectors from the fan motors and release the wire harnesses from the fasteners on the fan shroud.

4. Remove the controller mounting screw.

5. Remove the controller from the fan shroud.

Installation

1. Carefully install the controller onto the fan shroud and secure it with the screw.

2. Connect the connectors to the on-board harness and secure them to the casing.

3. Secure the right and left fan harnesses to the clips on the shroud and connect the connectors to the motors.

4. Connect the negative battery terminal.
