Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Drain the coolant from the engine.
COOLING SYSTEM: MOD. K, KV6 engine, ADJUSTMENTS, Draining coolant, flushing and filling the system.
3. Remove the timing belt.
ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Camshafts of the left cylinder head, Timing belt.

4. Remove and discard the 7 bolts securing the coolant pump to the cylinder block.
5. Release the coolant pump from the cylinder block and remove it from the cylinder block.
6. Remove the O-ring from the coolant pump and discard it.
Installation
1. Clean the mating surfaces of the coolant pump and cylinder block.
2. Lubricate the new O-ring with rubber grease and install it onto the coolant pump.

3. Install the coolant pump on the cylinder block. Screw in new mounting bolts and tighten them to 9 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure.
4. Install the timing belt.

5. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
