Heating elements glued to the back of the mirror are used to heat the mirrors. The heating elements of the mirrors are powered by the control module of the corresponding door (driver or passenger) via AJB.
The door control modules are powered by the AJB and both are connected to the ATC module via the medium speed CAN data bus. The ground contact of each door control module completes the circuit. The ATC module automatically controls the mirror heating function when the ignition is set to power mode 4 (food accessories) and in power mode 6 (ignition).
For more information, see the chapter: Control Components (412-01 Climate control, Description and principle of operation).
