The sunroof panel is a double-length glass unit with the rear half fixed in place.
The front half of the sunroof is electrically operated using a 2-position switch located on the overhead console. An electric motor mounted to the rear of the sunroof frame moves the front glass panel into tilt, open and closed positions. The electric motor operates two cables that move the glass panel.
The sunroof panel is controlled by a control unit integrated with the electric motor. The control unit receives input signals from the CJB and the switch. According to these signals, the control unit controls the operation of the sunroof panel. The CJB also sends a vehicle speed signal to the control unit, which is used to calibrate the anti-pinch function.
