CAUTION: After the road test, check the brake operation at low speed before completing the check. If the brakes pull to one side or otherwise show a malfunction, do not continue the road test until the malfunction has been identified and corrected.
- The parking brake is released completely.
- Gear shifting is smooth, with no unusual noise or vibration coming from the transmission.
- The engine power is satisfactory, its maximum value is reached, acceleration is smooth, the accelerator pedal is not tight and the engine returns to idle mode correctly.
- There is no excessive exhaust smoke or abnormally colored smoke during normal driving, heavy duty operation, or engine braking.
- The steering is smooth, precise, not too heavy and without excessive play or vibration. There is no sideways pull and the steering wheel returns smoothly to its original position when exiting a turn.
- All devices are in good working order and their readings are accurate.
- Switches and controls operate smoothly and accurately, indicator lights and indicators operate correctly, and the turn signal lever automatically returns to its original position when the steering wheel is returned to its original position.
- Heating and ventilation systems operate properly and efficiently.
- The braking system works effectively.
