Exhaust gas system (Freelander 2)

Removal

All cars

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Be sure to support the vehicle securely.

Cars with gasoline engines

2. Tightening torque: 25 Nm



Cars with diesel engines

3. Tightening torque: 40 Nm



All cars

WARNING: This step requires the assistance of a second mechanic.

5. Remove the gasket and discard it.

All cars

6. Remove the rubber supports.

NOTE: Do not continue disassembly if the component is removed only for access.
