Exhaust gas recirculation system valve (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the valve connector.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the valve.

3. Unscrew the two bolts securing the valve to the exhaust manifold.

4. Unscrew the two bolts securing the hose to the valve.

5. Remove the valve and discard the gasket.

Installation

6. Clean the mating surfaces of the valve and exhaust manifold.

7. Reinstall the removed parts. Tightening torque of bolts: 25 Nm.
