WARNING: Before working on passive safety systems, carefully read the relevant technical documentation.
WARNING: Always remove both battery terminals before working on the restraint systems (SRS). Disconnect first "negative " terminal. Never mix up the wires when connecting to the battery.
Dismantling
1. Follow all safety rules when working with passive safety systems.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Safety Precautions When Working on the Airbag System (SRS).
2. Remove an overlay of an average rack "IN" body.

3. Remove the front and rear carpet clamps.
CAR INTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Fixing pad - front part of the floor carpet.
4. Remove the Torx screw securing the seat belt reel to the strut "IN", and move the coil to the side.
5. Remove the 2 fasteners securing the floor carpet clamp to the upright "IN", and remove the clamp.
6. Remove and discard the 3 Torx screws securing the side impact sensor bracket to the upright "IN".
7. Release the cable from the clamps and remove the block from the side impact sensor connector.
8. Remove the side impact sensor and sensor bracket from the rack "IN".
Assembly
NOTE: If an SRS component needs to be replaced, record the bar code for the new component.
1. Install the side impact sensor and sensor bracket on the stand "IN", secure the sensor cable with clamps and connect the cable block to the sensor connector.
2. Install new screws into the holes in the side impact sensor bracket and tighten to 8 Nm.
3. Install the reel spool onto the stand "IN", install the Torx screw and tighten it to 31 Nm.
4. Install the center carpet clamp and secure it to the center post with the clips.
5. Install the front and rear carpet clamps.

6. Install the middle pillar trim "IN" body.

7. Attach "negative" terminal to the battery.
