Electric motor for height headrest (front seat) (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the seat assembly.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.

2. Remove the Allen screw securing the armrest.

3. Remove the armrest from the hinge protrusion.



4. Release the 3 seat back panel tensioner straps under the seat.

5. Release the brackets securing the backrest upholstery to the bottom of the backrest panel.



6. Remove the 2 pins securing the bottom of the back panel.



7. Release the edges of the upholstery on both sides of the seat back panel.

8. Separate the back panel from the seat.



9. Release the head restraint from the electric drive unit and remove the head restraint from the seat.

10. Disconnect the connector from the headrest height adjustment motor connector.

11. Release the electric motor assembly from the clips and remove it from the seat frame.

Assembly

1. Install the electric motor assembly onto the seat back frame and secure it in the clips.

2. Connect the connector to the headrest vertical movement motor connector.

3. Install the headrest on the seat and connect it to the electric drive unit.

4. Place the backrest panel onto the assembled seat and install the bottom of the backrest panel retaining pins.

5. Secure both edges of the seat cushion upholstery to the backrest panel.

6. Staple the bottom of the upholstery to the back panel.

7. Attach the backrest panel tension straps to the fasteners at the bottom of the seat.

8. Install the armrest onto the hinge and tighten the Allen screw to 25 Nm.

9. Install the seat assembly into the vehicle.
