Front seat rail electric motor (Discovery 3)

Removal

NOTE: The front seat runner motor is supplied as part of the front seat lower frame assembly.

1. Remove the front seat. For more information, refer to Front Seat (78.10.44/99)

2. Remove the front seat cushion side trim.

• Remove 2 Torx head screws.
• Release from 4 clamps.

3. Release the front seat adjustment system switch.

• Remove two screws.
• Release the 2 clamps.

4. Remove the front seat base trim.

• Remove the screw.
• Release the 2 clamps.

5. Remove the front seat base. Unscrew the 6 nuts.





6. Remove the front seat runner motor.

• Disconnect the electrical connector.
• Release the electrical connector.
• Unscrew 8 nuts.

Installation

1. Install the front seat runner motor.

• Tighten the nuts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
• Connect the electrical connector.
• Secure the electrical connector.

2. Install the front seat base. Tighten the nuts. (tightening torque 25 Nm).

3. Install the front seat base trim.

• Secure with clamps.
• Tighten the screw.

4. Install the front seat cushion side trim.

• Secure with clamps.
• Tighten the screws.

5. Set the front seat adjustment system switch.
