1 | combination switch (swivel with joystick) |
To adjust the position of the column, you need:
- Turn the switch to position "Column" or "Auto"
- Slide the switch forward or backward to adjust the distance
- Slide the switch up or down to adjust the slope
Entry/exit mode
In Entry/Exit mode, the steering column and driver's seat automatically shift for easy entry or exit.
To enable the entry / exit mode, you need to set the speaker position adjustment switch to the position "AUTO".
NOTE: If the switch is removed from the position "AUTO", when the column is in the up position, the column will return to the memorized position if the ignition key is inserted into the lock. Entry/exit mode will be cancelled.
NOTE: If the switch is moved during the entry/exit function, the steering column will stop moving.
Exit
When the ignition key is removed from the lock, the steering column is moved to the highest and farthest position, and the driver's seat moves back slightly.
Landing
When the ignition key is inserted into the lock, the steering column and seat return to their original position. If the previously memorized settings for the driver have been changed (using switches on the seat or remote control of another key), the steering column and seat will move to the new position.
Steering column control
The position of the steering column is controlled by a single DC motor. Each adjustment movement is transmitted via an electromagnetic clutch. Its own clutch exists to move along the slope and its own - to move along the distance.
The clutch can only be disengaged if it is not under load. Since both clutches are on the same drive motor shaft, the adjustment sequence should be as follows:
- Engage desired clutch
- Approximately 0.1 seconds later, the motor turns in the desired direction
- When the engine reaches the stop position, the power to the clutch solenoid and the engine is turned off. Clutch stays engaged under load
- After about 0.1 second, the motor reverses to take the load off the clutch
Motor rotation direction | Clockwise | Counterclock-wise |
Travel by distance | retraction | nomination |
Tilt travel | Up | Down |
Simultaneous movement in distance and inclination is not possible because the motor must reverse the direction of rotation as soon as the first preset position is reached.
To provide feedback, the movement of the steering column is monitored by a potentiometer.
