60/40 split rear seat (Discovery 3)

Removal

NOTE: This procedure describes the removal and installation of both the left and right seats.

1.

NOTE: Torx head bolts can be reused.

Release the right rear seat fastening.

• Fold the left seat cushion forward.
• Remove 4 Torx head bolts.
• Fold the rear seat back down.

2. Remove the right rear seat.

3.

NOTE: Torx head bolts can be reused.

Release the left rear seat fastening.

• Fold the left seat cushion forward.
• Remove 6 Torx head bolts.
• Fold down the rear seat back.

4. With assistance, remove the left rear seat assembly.

Installation

1. With assistance, install the left rear seat assembly. Place the seat on the pins.

2. Secure the left rear seat.

• Return the seatback to the upright position.
• Tighten the Torx head bolts (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Fold the seat cushion forward.

3. Install the right rear seat. Place the seat on the pins.



4. Secure the right rear seat.

• Return the seatback to the upright position.
• Tighten the Torx head bolts (tightening torque 40 Nm).
• Fold the seat cushion forward.
