Front seat heating switches
Front seat heaters are installed on seats with both manual and electromechanical adjustment. The heaters are controlled by an automatic temperature controller (ATCM).
When the heating system is turned on, the heating elements built into the seat are supplied with electrical power and the seats are heated. To maintain a constant temperature, the ATCM uses a sensor built into the seat cushion to measure the temperature inside the seat and adjust the voltage to the heating elements. Rear seat heating switches
NOTE: Model shown with rear air conditioner
The left and right rear seats are equipped with three heating elements: in the cushion, in the backrest and in the knee bolster. The optional child seat also has an integrated heating element.
NOTE: The middle rear seat is not heated.
Heated front seats available when ignition is on (II) and one of the two possible heating modes is selected. When the rear seat heating switch is pressed for the first time, the ATC controller activates the maximum heat mode and supplies power to the heating elements of the corresponding seat (right or left). At the same time, two yellow LED indicators in the switch light up. When the switch is pressed a second time, the ATC controller sets the heating temperature to low and one of the LEDs goes out. A third press on the switch turns off the heating, while the second LED also goes out. The seat heaters remain on until they are turned off by the switch, or until the ignition is turned off.
The rear seat heating controller receives signals from the temperature sensors in the right and left seats and regulates the power supply to the heating elements, maintaining the desired seat temperature in the range of 35-45°C. The actual temperature depends on the type of seat upholstery, since the thermal characteristics of the seats are determined by the materials used.
