An accident that did not result in the airbag deploying
Attention: check the impact area for damage, paying particular attention to the bumper reinforcement, side members, impact dents and the condition of the brackets.
1. Before installation, carefully inspect the airbag. Do not install damaged parts (cracks, deformation).
2. Before working on the airbag, remove the key from the ignition switch.
3. Disconnect the battery, first the negative cable, then the positive.
Please note: the airbag system will have sufficient power supply to deploy for another 20 minutes.
4. Immediately disconnect the driver and passenger airbags.
5. Do not attempt to disassemble the airbag module: the unit cannot be repaired. The deployed airbag must be disposed of.
6. Install only new system parts.
7. Do not use testers to check the airbag system circuits: the airbag may deploy, causing injury.
8. Diagnostics of the system circuits is carried out only using the "TESTBOOK" tester.
9. The airbag ignition element is flammable. Contact of the fuse with water, acid or heavy metals leads to the formation of toxic and explosive substances.
