Removal

1.

CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.

Raise and support the vehicle.



2. Remove the wheel.

3. Remove and discard the axle shaft seal. For more information, refer to Rear Axle Shaft (11/47/01)

4. Using a special tool, remove and discard the axle shaft bearing.

Installation

1. Using the special tools, install the new axle shaft bearing.



2. Install a new axle shaft seal. For more information, refer to Rear Axle Shaft (11/47/01)

3. Install the wheel and tire. Tighten the wheel nuts to a torque of 140 Nm.
